Waiting for...

The waiting game. How long am I willing to wait? How long are you willing to wait?
Well…that depends. Waiting on hold, for test results, for new job, to get pregnant (not me!), for someone to come home? There’s a tolerance people have on how long they are willing to wait. And each situation varies. For some people, there should be no wait…FOR ANYTHING!!
Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord. Psalm 27:14 NIV
Wait for the Lord. I can do that. I can kneel down, pray and wait. “Ok Lord. It’s been a day. Where’s my answer? It’s been a week, Lord? ... months? … years? I believe I have a God who is there for me, and yet waiting can still be so hard to do.
Knowing God is a faithful God and that His love is unfailing, I can come to Him and wait expectedly. He will always have my best. Whether I receive a yes, no or wait answer. I can believe He is in the midst of my life and knows what’s happening. He knows my needs. He knows.
I can look back on all the times His will was so much better than my wants, and I can trust Him. I can be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.
Lord, forgive me when I am impatient and doubting. Help me to wait, expecting your will.
