A Positive Note
2 Corinthians 13:11 “Finally, brothers and sisters, Rejoice! Strive for full restoration, encourage one another, be of one mind, live in peace. And the God of love and peace, will be with you.”
End on a positive note. We’ve all heard that phrase. Paul’s letter to the church in Corinth did just that. Even though he called them out on some wrong behavior (what…me?), he loved them and wanted the best for them.
Here’s how I might end this letter (since I never say things in the shortest manner).
Rejoice - Don’t let joy be lost.
Strive for full restoration - be careful not to lose precious relationships. Work it out!
Encourage one another – be positive. Don’t be critical over every little thing.
Be of one mind – learn to work together, communicate, you can’t read each other’s mind.
Live in peace – it’s not worth arguing over, find a way to find peace.
God may your love and peace replace all the hurt, anger and strife. May you show me the relationships that need to be restored. Fill me with your love.
