In Search of Indie – 2019 Episode 3
Updated: Jul 8, 2019
Napa Bookmine (Napa, CA)
Just in time for a reading! Author Sally Bolger and Illustrator Regina Shklovsky of Fun in the Mud: A Wetlands Tale were thrilling a group of children with the reading they were invited to attend. Sitting on a rug in the middle of floor to ceiling books was such a comfortable place for the children to see first hand the thrill of reading books, book writing, illustrating and book selling. Owner Naomi Chamblin and parents ensured the children had a wonderful experience and a signed copy of the book. As I wandered the store (while listening to the children’s questions and laughter), I found such a variety of books, both new and used, to peruse. Colorful fliers filled the entry for local events. Napa Bookmine is a local Indie Bookstore with charm and warmth to invite the locals and visitors to stop by to see what’s new and enjoy a friendly chat with owner Naomi. Best wishes to Naomi on her bookstores and baby due in March.
What author would you like to hear do a reading from their book?
