In Search of Indie – 2019 Episode 1
Updated: Jul 8, 2019
Face in a Book (El Dorado Hills, CA)
Yes, I can get my face in a book and hide away for hours. Can you? My daughter can stay there for days. I’m sure many of you would agree. That’s the focus of this unique Indie book store, Face in a Book, in El Dorado Hills. The creative staging of the books catches your attention and draws you in. Scattered all around are touches of gifts and tchotchkes (look it up) to go with your reading addiction. Tucked in a nook, little ones will find themselves surrounded by children’s books and excited to return to hear a story come alive. For the more mature, a fun evening is available for you too – “In Conversation with” evenings include romance writers to reporters to an evening with Face in a Book owner, Tina. Local authors come together monthly for a Writer’s Coffeehouse. There’s no doubt that Face in a Book is about the love of reading and supporting the needs of this great community. I’ll be checking out one of these great events soon or browsing the travel and cooking sections again to feed my new love of both. Hope to see you there!
