A New Year Resolution - rejoice!

Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 5:16

It’s that time of year when we take a look at ourselves and consider what we need to change. What habits do we want to be rid of or which ones do we want to start…again. We call this New Year Resolutions.

I’m sure I can come up with a few about health, exercise, finances and projects. But God calls me to take a deeper look at my heart and follow His calling.

If I’m going to make a resolution, I choose this one.

Rejoice always – find the joy in my life and shout it! Rejoice! Open my heart to see all the wonderful things and love that comes from God.

Pray continually – commit today and every day to take time with God in prayer.

Give thanks in all circumstances – the coming year will be full of God’s will for me and in that I can be thankful.

A resolution of the heart – rejoice, pray and be thankful. Happy New Years.

God, I am surrounded by your love and faithfulness. Thank you.
